Communiqué

Their origin story started with a couple of pens and notebooks full of paper. Midori came to America on the advice of her pen pal. Without that cross-cultural communication, it’s not likely that Kevin and Midori would ever have met. Jane, Midori’s pen pal, told Midori in one of their letter exchanges that she should come to a small northeast Oregon town called La Grande and attend college there at what was then known as Eastern Oregon State College. (Now Eastern Oregon University)

As it happened, Kevin was a local kid who decided to attend EOSC after graduating from La Grande High School. Some how these two met in a class about Stage Make Up and worked on a local production of Mr. Roberts where Kevin was on stage and Midori was working back stage. A few things happened and after a while they started dating, one thing led to another and they have been married for over 35 years, have a 30 year old daughter, a mortgage, a dog, and a lot of intercultural experience they want to share.

Seattle is a wonderful place to live and work and Kevin and Midori want to share it with you and help you see it through their unique cultural lens.
